Hmmm….okay so this topic has always bothered me, because I’ve never actually addressed it. So, I decided to address it publicly.
With interracial relationships and dating comes a lot of issues. Some of which become more severe than relationships between people of the same race. But, the thing is, why is it such a BIG DEAL? I mean, so what if you see a White and Asian guy walking together side-by-side? Or, a Black and Latino guy? Does it really make that much of a difference? And, if so, why?
My Personal Opinion: “Honestly, I think that when it comes to interracial dating, one race feels as if they’re superior to another. It’s upsetting for me, because I am placed in the category as being ‘inferior’. And, I don’t think that it is right. I’m both Black and Native American, right? But, in this world they’ll just label you as a “African-American”. Which is totally incorrect. That’s like labeling someone of Asian descent as “Chinese” off the back you know? And, with that? People automatically press their perceptions of us as being “ghetto” or ”thugs” and all of those other stereotypical remarks. And, I’m not ANY of those, as well as some of the other Black people that I know?
So, anyways, with me? I am more attracted to men outside of my race? I don’t know why, but I think it has something to do with culture? It’s always interesting to learn about someones culture? And, it’s a turn on for me LOL. But, would that offend you? Question: Would it offend you to see someone like me kissing and hugging a guy who isn’t Black?
Yadda, yadda, yadda…..It’s like SO FREAKING WHAT?!! I like men outside my race? Why is it such a BIG issue? People seem to have problems dating like this. But, honestly I don’t know why? Is it because of an ignorant stereotype, color of ones skin, or possibly…….because you’re prejudice against someones race?” -ParisFaux
Send me your thoughts and opinions please, I’d love to hear them from you.
